State-of-the-Art Technology for a One-of-a-Kind Driving Experience

At Land Rover, technology is an innovative tool designed to enhance the customer experience. Whether you're tackling a muddy forest trail, navigating rush-hour traffic, or covering hundreds of kilometres on Highway 20, every onboard system is engineered to simplify your drive, boost your confidence, and elevate your enjoyment behind the wheel. Here's an overview of the key technologies that define the 2026 Land Rover lineup.

Pivi Pro: Infotainment Reimagined

At the heart of every 2026 Land Rover cabin is the 13.1-inch curved Pivi Pro touchscreen, now standard across every Defender model--a new feature for this year. Renowned for its intuitive interface, the system starts up in under two seconds and puts virtually every key function within two taps or less from the home screen. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto come standard, along with voice control, built-in Wi-Fi, and audio streaming.

The system receives over-the-air software updates, allowing your vehicle to continuously improve without the need to visit a dealership. Higher trim levels also feature a Head-Up Display and rear-seat entertainment screens for added comfort and convenience.

Terrain Response 2

The Terrain Response 2 system is Land Rover's advanced off-road technology system. It analyzes conditions beneath the wheels in real time and automatically optimizes engine, transmission, suspension, and differential settings to adapt to the terrain: snow, mud, sand, grass, gravel, or rock.

On the 2026 Range Rover and Range Rover Sport models, the configurable Terrain Response system allows drivers to create and save their own personalized profiles based on their preferred driving style.

As for the Defender, it now features the new Adaptive Off-Road Cruise Control mode, which automatically adjusts acceleration and braking during off-road driving, allowing the driver to focus on steering rather than managing speed in challenging terrain.

MHE and PHEV Powertrains

The 2026 lineup offers a complete range of electrified powertrains to meet every driver's needs. MHE technology features 48-volt mild hybrid assistance and is widely available across the lineup. It recovers energy during braking, stores it, and redistributes it to assist the internal combustion engine during acceleration. The result: reduced fuel consumption, smoother transitions, and enhanced driving refinement. Available on the Defender, Discovery, Range Rover Sport, and Range Rover.

The plug-in hybrid versions (PHEV - Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle) offer an all-electric driving range of up to 91 km (WLTP combined cycle) on the 2026 Range Rover, allowing most daily commutes to be completed without using a drop of fuel. DC fast charging (50 kW DC) allows the battery to recharge from 10% to 80% in less than an hour.

Vision and Parking Assistance

More than ever, it is easy to see your surroundings in a Land Rover, thanks in part to ClearSight Ground View, an exclusive technology that displays an image on the Pivi Pro screen showing what is beneath the hood and in front of the front wheels--as if the hood were transparent. It is an essential feature for off-road driving and navigating challenging terrain.

The 3D surround cameras, installed on all four sides of the vehicle, generate a real-time 360° view. Ideal for tight parking spaces, towing, and navigating narrow passages. Finally, the ClearSight rear-view mirror, available on select models, provides a live feed from a high-definition rear camera, eliminating blind spots caused by headrests or passengers.

Dynamic Electronic Suspension Systems

The electronic air suspension, available on the Range Rover, Range Rover Sport, and Defender, automatically adjusts ride height and damping based on terrain and speed. It offers up to five different ride heights, from highway mode to off-road capability, allowing the vehicle to cross water depths of up to 900 mm.

The Dynamic Response Pro system (Range Rover) uses electric active anti-roll bars to virtually eliminate body roll during cornering while maintaining comfort during straight-line driving. All-wheel steering, available on the Range Rover and Range Rover Sport, enhances maneuverability at low speeds and stability at higher speeds.

Meridian Audio System

Land Rover has partnered with British audio specialist Meridian to deliver exceptional sound systems throughout the lineup. Depending on the model and trim level, three configurations are available: Meridian Surround (base system), Meridian 3D Surround, and Meridian Signature with active noise reduction. The latter features road noise cancellation technology for a remarkably quiet cabin, even on rough roads.

An even more advanced system, available on high-end SV Ultra models, is called SV Electrostatic Sound. This innovation uses 21 ultra-lightweight thin-film transducers to deliver auditorium-quality sound directly inside the cabin.

Air Quality

The Cabin Air Purification Pro system filters fine particles (PM2.5), bacteria, allergens, and odors using Panasonic's Nanoe X technology. Combined with seat ventilation, heated seats, and a heated steering wheel, it transforms the Land Rover cabin into a true clean-air sanctuary, helping protect occupants from even the most aggressive pollen particles.
